What you'll need:
Cut a piece of the hockey stick to around 12" in length. Starting a few inches from the end of the stick wrap some tape with the sticky side up.
After you have about 8" of tape with the sticky side up, run it along the shaft of your hockey stick where you want to add extra grip or tackiness.
You will have to re-apply after a game or two but it's easy enough to keep the 'grip tape stick' in your bag for application when you need it.
Selecting the proper stick size is very important. The stick should, when standing, come to just under your chin.
If your stick is too long you will find that the stick blade won’t sit properly when dribbling the puck/ ball, but more importantly you run the risk of top hand hip lock.
